STAR Healthcare

UNC Kenan-Flagler’s STAR Program is an action-based learning opportunity designed to address real-world business challenges. Student teams are guided by an experienced faculty advisor, and engage in a dynamic consulting relationship for a real corporate partner. Luther Hodges Scholars

The Kenan Institute’s Luther Hodges Scholars Program is the premier research opportunity for undergraduate students. Scholars gain real-world research experience through a year-long apprenticeship, and earn course credit while working directly with world-renowned faculty researchers. This year, students developed four interesting healthcare-focused projects.

Recent healthcare-focused projects include A Business Evaluation of Hotspotting in Healthcare, Medically Tailored Meals: The Insurer Landscape and Future Opportunities, The Opioid Crisis and Its Impact on Local Hospital Care Delivery, and Personalized Medicine Impact on the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Sector.
