“Amplifying Unheard Voices: Understanding and Ameliorating Medical Mistrust Among Black Communities”, an upcoming event in collaboration with UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School‘s MBA Healthcare Club and Black Business Student Association (BBSA) to commemorate Black History Month, is the 2nd of a 3-part diversity series, “Everyone’s Role: Advancing Health Equity”. This series offers students and attendees the opportunity to learn from incredible business leaders about the importance of advancing health equity and what role they can take as future leaders to make an impact.
This event, hosted virtually on February 8 from 12:30-1:30pm ET, will discuss what mistrust in the Black community looks like and how it influences health outcomes, what businesses and leaders are doing to remove barriers and improve outcomes, and where we are in rebuilding trust with marginalized voices.
