The Kenan-Flagler MBA Healthcare Club and UNC Center for the Business of Health are very pleased and excited to announce the winners of our 2020 UNC Healthcare Case Competition. The UNC Healthcare Case Competition is an interdisciplinary event designed to leverage graduate students’ unique learning, development, and career experiences by challenging them to develop an innovative solution to a relevant healthcare issue. This year’s competition focused on addressing the significant disruptions brought on by COVID-19 across the healthcare system. Teams, from across the country, were asked to propose a plan and strategy to cost-effectively improve the overall health of a Medicare population, in the hopes of preventing adverse outcomes in light of the challenges presented by COVID-19. Judges were impressed with the high-caliber, innovative, and comprehensive solutions presented by all teams. Without further ado, the winning teams are:
1ST PLACE: Team 3 (Duke University)
Cameron Baldes
Colleen Wixted
Steven Sypult
Alexis Concordia
Soham Bose
2ND PLACE: Team 8 (University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill)

Mahfuz Nasiri
