Matthew Fordham ’22 is a dual degree graduate student pursuing an MD at the School of Medicine and an MBA at Kenan Flagler. He is a Tar Heel through and through – he hails from Chapel Hill and completed a BS in Chemistry ’16 at Carolina. He is planning to match at an Internal Medicine medical residency after graduation.

On campus, Matthew is involved with the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC) where he has served in a variety of leadership roles. SHAC is the nation’s oldest student-run free medical clinic, providing care to underserved members of the community. Matthew has also served as third-year Class President at the School of Medicine and represented the Medical School at the Graduate and Professional Student Government as a Senator. Outside of school, Matthew enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with his dog.
