The STAR Program (Student Teams Achieving Results) is Kenan-Flagler Business Schools action-based learning program designed to provide a unique experience for students to solve real-world problems. This program gives students the opportunity to work with a team of students, a faculty advisor, and a corporate partner on a real consulting project.
As healthcare grows as a strategic priority at Kenan-Flagler Business School, STAR has developed healthcare-specific projects.
Recent STAR Healthcare Corporate Partners include:
MBA Global Immersion Elective (GIE)
Global immersion electives are intensive study abroad programs led by UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty. Participants learn about business and local economics firsthand through meeting with business leaders in local and multinational companies, local government leaders and meeting local students, where possible. Students also receive academic credit towards the business degree. Students are able to participate in immersion programs and complete an internship in the same summer.
GIE now has a healthcare-specific elective. Kenan-Flagler faculty will travel with a group of students to China and Japan, with a focus on exploring the healthcare systems within each of these countries.
Scholarships are available for all programs. Scholarship applications are due at the time of the program application.
