Eli Lilly and Company has provided a research grant to UNC Kenan-Flagler to evaluate associates between health outcomes for diabetes patients and enrollment in high deductible plans. The project is comprised of 4 phases. Phase 1 and 2 are complete, and were led by Markus Saba, Sri Venkataraman and a small team of researches. They performed lit reviews and utilized a large data set to complete an in-depth gap analysis. Now in Phase 3, the roundtable discussion will include researchers and executives from Lilly, Sri and some of the CBOH team, and other experts from across UNC. Phase 4 will conclude the project with a publication including guidance and recommendations for future actions.
